About Us
Norwest Anglican Mandarin Service was launched in May 2021. We are part of the Norwest Anglican Church family. Thank God for putting in the hearts of many local brothers and sister a love for the Chinese people and a call to the Great Commission many years ago. For years, they have been praying for and actively working towards having a Mandarin ministry at Norwest. Since launch, our Mandarin Service has been impacted by COVID pandemic, but despite that we have seen God working powerfully in this place. From the beginning of 2022, God gradually brought to us many brothers and sisters and gospel friends, who have found a spiritual home here at Norwest. Our prayer and hope is that Norwest Mandarin Service will become a lampstand of testimony in the Hills for the Lord Jesus Christ, to bring the good news of Jesus to more and more Mandarin speakers, that they too might become disciples of Jesus.
Our Vision
Here at Norwest, we long to see Jesus as King of every heart and every home. We seek to grow in our knowledge and love of God, and the grace He has shown to us in the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. And we are compelled by the love of God shown to us in Christ to share that same love with one another and with those around us. We believe that Jesus is the saviour of the whole mankind and the best gift prepared by God for the whole universe, hence we deeply long to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all people.

Sunday Service
Sunday 1-2:30pm
Every Sunday afternoon we gather at the auditorium to hear God’s word, and to wrestle with who Jesus is and what that means for our lives, to pray for one another and share afternoon tea together. Our meetings are primarily in Mandarin. Sometimes we do have English speakers, when this is the case we will have the message translated simultaneously into Mandarin.
During the school terms, we have a kids program which caters from Kindy to Year 6.
In school holidays, we don’t have kids program; but all our services will be in English/ Mandarin bilingual so that the children can join in to worship God together with their parents.
We would love for you to join our service on any Sunday. We hope that by hearing the gospel in your own mother tongue, you may come to know the grace and truth of Jesus Christ. We hope you find a spiritual home at Norwest.

Easy English Classes
Fridays 9:30am-12pm
Our classes are designed to help you live more comfortably in Australia, so together we work on this strange language called English! Our mornings include time for people to socialise over Morning Tea. Friendships are formed here, as people share about their home country, and family life here.
We have 5 levels of classes from basic beginners to those whose English is quite advanced.
